I knew it! After a few years of using Notes/Domino I have resigning myself to it’s bugs and quirks. I have always thought that other tools/platforms must be prone to the same sort of thing, but never known for sure.
Notes developers that complain about Notes being ‘broken software’ spoke as though this sort of problem was confined only to Notes.
Today I was vindicated when Dreamweaver MX decided to stop saving my changes. I had suspected that it might have been doing this for some time and blamed myself, thinking that I had must have chosen not the save changes when I closed the file. Today it was happening right before my eyes, time and time again. Rebooting did no good. Hopefully applying the update will resolve the issue.
Not that I’m justifying the problems that exist in Notes – it’s just that I think people should not lose sight of the fact that it’s a problem with complex software in general – not just my old buddy….
