Have arrived in the first really big city since leaving the UK a month ago. Walking through the streets we see a poor man with a terrible facial disfigurment. Think ‘Elephant Man’ and make it a lot worse…. I was too freaked to even look at the poor fella, let alone go up to him…

Went to the Port cellars on a tour or two. Really nice place with pretty good nightlife too (like most places in Spain and Portugal). The narrow streets and steep hills give the place real character.

Love this country! The spanish love to party. While I’m not too shook on bull-fighting, the San Fermin festival at Pamplona is pretty cool. Had a go running with the bulls, and watched a televised bull fight. It was gory as hell and I really felt sorry for the bull. While all the english speakers…
