I remember how I felt when someone told me my favourite supermarket in Wellington had a singles night on Tuesdays (or was it Wednesdays?), and the sign you were on the prowl was a bunch of bananas in your shopping trolley. Being virtually addicted to bananas and shopping most nights I was mortified – all that time and no one ever made a pass!
